About The Position

The Expeditor (Expo) ensures that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer specifications. The Expo coordinates the pace and flow between the kitchen and the Servers.

Requirements

  • Skills to coordinate and manage the pace and flow between the Servers and the kitchen
  • Attention to detail to monitor ticket times and communicate with cook line to assure prompt delivery of orders
  • A commitment to ensure that all orders are prepared according to the Guests specifications and follow the Metro
  • Diner recipes and menu
  • The ability to immediately notify management of any item that needs to be recooked and run to a table
  • The capability to call for food runners to ensure food gets to the table in a timely manner
  • Must have weekend availability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Expeditor in a fast-paced work environment
  • Working experience with reading a KDS screen and an understanding of ticket items
  • Organizational skills to maintain contact with the kitchen, Managers, and Servers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and Guests concerns are addressed
  • The ability to diffuse stressful situations through a calm, thoughtful demeanor
  • The desire to work with servers, food runners, and bussers to ensure efficient operations while focusing on Guests needs
