About The Position

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members. JOB SUMMARYThe Expo/Busser is responsible for maintaining the appearance of their assigned work area and station by cleaning, stocking, and organizing. Expo/Bussers are also responsible for delivering and expediting food orders and condiments to guests in various food venues as necessary. Performs additional job duties as assigned by Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) experience in food service/hospitality desired.
  • Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
  • The ability to lift, push and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Virginia Racing Commission License
  • Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by quickly clearing and cleaning tabletops, booths, chairs, and walls after guests leave.
  • Safely and efficiently carry large loads of tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Assist servers in delivery of orders to guest’s table.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
  • Always keeps the floor clean and presentable.  Maintains cleanliness, sanitizing and organization of workstations and dining rooms.  Disposes of all refuse accumulated during assigned shift, including boxes.  Clears and wipes down tables; removes food trays.  Keeps walkways clear of any debris; sweeps and mops as needed.
  • Keeps stations fully stocked with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, etc.  Restocks ice bins before opening and during operations as necessary.
  • Delivers food and any necessary condiments to guests.  Assists co-workers, Lead and/or Supervisor as needed.  Follows direction and follow through on tasks given by Lead Cashier and/or management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
