About The Position

The position involves supporting core drilling operations at the Haile Gold Mine, focusing on manual handling, equipment operation, and ensuring safety and efficiency in drilling activities. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• On the job training
• Mining experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Drilling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support core drilling at Haile Gold Mine
• Manually handle 10-foot drill pipe
• Assist with operation of LF90 Core Drill
• Remove core from drill barrel and box core
• Accurately and clearly label core boxes
• Mix and pump drilling additives
• Dig and line mud sumps
• Move drill and equipment between drill sites
• Operate water truck and fill from designated pumps
• Replace broken or worn parts using hand tools
• Conduct daily equipment inspections
• Operate light vehicle F250 on public and mine roads
• Perform other duties as required
