About The Position

The Expert, Training Delivery delivers engaging and effective training courses and programs, ensuring content is adapted to diverse audiences and business needs. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize learning impact delivery, leverage training technologies, and assess program effectiveness for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, learning & development, or training delivery, with a focus on employee training programs and talent development.
  • Proven experience in delivering training programs for diverse audiences, including workshops, seminars, and eLearning.
  • Strong knowledge of learning principles and the ability to adapt training materials to different learning styles and needs.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and HR technologies, with experience in delivering and tracking training initiatives through these platforms. Cornerstone an asset
  • Strong communicator, ability to convey technical and non technical curriculum with clarity
  • Solid presentation skills, story telling and professional gravitas experience
  • Ensures a process driven approach to improve efficiency and consistency across operations.
  • Embraces a digital mindset and demonstrates HR technology proficiency to streamline operations and improve employee experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • French language proficiency and facilitation capability, an asset
  • Existing Master training certifications with training vendors for leadership development content, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions and programs (virtual, in-person, hybrid) to employees at all levels
  • Deliver training sessions and programs using facilitation techniques such as group activities and case studies to encourage discussions and foster collaborative learning
  • Deliver CN developed non-technical training content as well as vendor leadership sessions.
  • Tailor training approach to suit the audience and context, adapting as necessary to enhance learning outcomes
  • Create a supportive learning environment that promotes active participation and encourages learners to share experiences and insights
  • Travel and mobility flexibility: Up to 50% travel across Canada and the USA, for up to 2 weeks period per month
  • Utilize best practices in adult learning and instructional techniques to enhance training effectiveness
  • Tailor training materials to meet business needs, industry standards, and regional requirements. Collaborate with SMEs to update and refine training content
  • Provide input on training design to ensure content is relevant and applicable to real-world scenarios
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to continually develop facilitation skills and knowledge. Research industry leading practices for learning delivery
  • Leverage innovative technologies and tools into training delivery to enhance learning experiences and accessibility
  • Gather real-time feedback during sessions to adapt delivery methods and address any immediate learning challenges
  • Use evaluation data to make recommendations for improvements and adjustments to future learning content.
