About The Position

We are seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to help lead multi-discipline engineering efforts supporting the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal partners. In this role, you will drive requirements analysis, solution development, system integration, testing, and overall system performance to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely GEOINT capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead and support requirements engineering, solution design, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, testing, and system analysis across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies. Plan and analyze user requirements; support traceability between requirements, architectures, and workflows; and evaluate cloud services and system automation opportunities. Advise on solution design changes based on evolving mission needs, emerging technologies, and requirements analysis. Translate mission and customer needs into clear system and capability requirements. Support requirements allocation and alignment across system architecture components and program activities. Conduct and support systems integration efforts across complex, multi-organization environments. Lead or contribute to Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments. Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design. Provide expert guidance connecting mission vision, strategy, requirements, and capability development. Operate at an enterprise level, integrating multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across agencies and national partners. Oversee and coordinate engineering work performed by Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level systems engineering staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, IT, MIS, etc.). OR 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. OR 2 additional years of relevant experience with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18+ years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas: DoD/IC acquisition processes Requirements development PPBES processes Systems engineering of large, complex systems-of-systems or service-oriented architectures in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments
  • 18+ years of experience with the full systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Prior experience working with the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects.
  • Previous experience supporting IC or DoD programs or projects.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain SCI access and pass a polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, tools, and languages.
  • Significant experience engineering solutions using: Cloud technologies Structured and unstructured Big Data Automation, augmentation, and AI technologies
  • Deep expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, GIS, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active membership or leadership roles in professional organizations such as: ACSM ASCE ASPRS OGC SAREM USGIF
