About The Position
The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an Expert Project Leader/Associate Director to join its Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice in Chicago, Illinois. This role is pivotal in driving the evolution of BCG's corporate strategy capabilities, which are integral to the firm's heritage and ongoing success. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and synthesizing the extensive intellectual property developed by BCG over its 61-year history, while also innovating new conceptual frameworks, analytical approaches, and tools to empower the next generation of strategists at BCG. In this position, the Expert Project Leader/Associate Director will work closely with case teams, providing guidance and support in deploying BCG's best-in-class strategy capabilities. This role involves significant client interaction, where the expert will help clients navigate their strategic challenges, create actionable strategies for change, and secure buy-in for recommendations. The position requires a blend of client service and topic development, with approximately 50-60% of the time dedicated to client service and 30-40% focused on developing the Corporate Strategy topic. As an integral member of the BCG team, the Expert Project Leader/Associate Director will have end-to-end responsibility for large and complex modules within projects, leading small, high-impact teams to deliver results. The role also includes contributing to BCG's intellectual capital, generating interest in the Corporate Strategy area, and mentoring junior team members. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of corporate strategy and a passion for driving transformation in organizations.
