Requirements

  • MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field with 3-5 years of pharma laboratory experience outside of academia.
  • PhD with 0-3 years of industrial lab/post-doc experience will also be considered.
  • Thorough understanding of the theory of above-mentioned techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Works well both within a team and as an individual.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Biacore 8K or 1S systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Characterizing protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions by a variety of methods including, but not limited to the following: Intact protein mass spectrometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, SPR (SPR experience required).
  • Biophysically characterizing protein samples destined for multiple workflows.
  • Using proprietary biophysical tools to interrogate protein ligand interactions to triage or advance compound series.
  • Developing assays and utilizing SPR (e.g. Biacore 8K or similar models to routinely determine binding kinetics.
  • Designing and obtaining SPR-based mechanism of action studies to characterize binders.
  • Executing SPR to drive Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) and target potency.
