  • Manage day-to-day operations of Jira, including user management, permissions, workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and project configurations.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that optimize workflows and reporting capabilities.
  • Implement automation using Jira automation rules, ScriptRunner, APIs, and integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Salesforce, GitHub, MS Teams, PagerDuty, etc.).
  • Administer Confluence spaces, permissions, templates, and macros to support documentation and collaboration needs.
  • Develop and enforce best practices, governance policies, and system standards across teams.
  • Provide advanced support for Jira/Confluence issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Manage system updates, plugin installations, migrations, and performance tuning.
  • Create user guides, conduct training sessions, and support onboarding of new team members.
  • Mentor junior members of the IT Ops team to assist in the day to day operational tasks involved in managing Jira and addressing tactical issues.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience in a complex environment.
  • Advanced expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in designing and configuring workflows, custom fields, permissions, and issue types.
  • Experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, REST APIs, and integrations.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Cloud (preferred) and on-premises instances.
  • Scripting skills (Groovy, PowerShell, or Python) are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency integrating Jira with CI/CD pipelines and development tools.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management tools (Okta, LDAP).
