About The Position

The Electric Contract Performance Manger, Expert will support Electric Operations/Vegetation Contract Administration and Procurement Operations, as we develop an improved operating model, by evaluating the effectiveness of, and recommend improvements to, business process, practice, and procedures including governance processes, automation of manual tasks. This role will provide input in the full cycle of contractual matters, and development of supplier relationship management functions. The role will assist in the development and execution of training for team members. We are looking for a candidate that is skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, challenging but highly rewarding environment, has good judgment and is initiative-taking. The candidate also needs to be adept at mining for and using data to drive decisions and develop metrics. Most importantly, the candidate is an optimistic, curious collaborator. Our candidate must also be able to provide solutions and process efficiencies through problem solving partnership with leaders and stakeholders. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, and headquarters location is flexible. Based on business needs some travel to Oakland, San Ramon, Stockton and/or Rocklin may be required. Engages in contract onboarding, change order management, issue resolution and risk management, claims and dispute management, and contract close-out. Maintains and builds relationships with critical supplier representatives. PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint ($116,000 - $158,000). The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years Job-related experience

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert regarding all contracting matters, including invoicing, providing direction and strategy recommendations.
  • Trains vendors and key stakeholders on specific work and processes.
  • Participate in negotiations and dispute settlements with internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on developing metrics.
  • Develops and/or presents complex scorecards to assess contract performance
  • Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Creates and presents innovative solutions based on requirements, by utilizing subject-matter expertise.
  • Monitors vendor service levels with moderate associated complexity.
  • Identifies the developmental needs of others, and coaches and mentor’s others to improve their knowledge or skills.
