About The Position

The Expert Business Project Manager will lead complex, cross-functional projects within the Finance True North Program Portfolio at PG&E. This role focuses on applying disciplined project management practices to drive significant improvements in Finance operations and support the overall transformation journey. The position requires collaboration with executive sponsors and project leads to ensure projects remain on track, while also providing training and support to enhance project management competencies within the Finance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of related work experience
  • PMP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to workstream leads, sponsors, and teams.
  • Guide project team leads and sponsors to develop project charter, including problem statement, business case, project scope and objectives, and milestones.
  • Establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor project performance, provide reporting and analysis, and maintain a repository of project information.
  • Facilitate working sessions as needed with project teams to address project issues/risks or to develop project deliverables.
  • Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues and help teams with escalation.
  • Enhance or establish policies, procedures, governance, structure, and templates to ensure the successful and consistent execution of all projects.
  • Provide training and support on project management tools and templates.
  • Identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.
