The position involves setting up and operating various types of digitally driven manufacturing equipment, including CNC multi-axis and multi-function machines, gear cutting, gear grinding, surface grinding machines, and other integrated systems. The role requires the ability to set up and operate internal, centerless, surface, external, thread, and universal grinders for development and tool work, ensuring that setups and work are held to extremely close tolerances. The individual will advise and assist engineers in developing new processes for manufacturing various metallic and composite dynamic components, such as transmission and gearbox cases, covers, housings, and various metallic rotor and airframe components. All work performed will be for experimental purposes only, and the individual will work from drawings, 3D models, engineering orders, sketches, or verbal instructions while using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
