The position involves setting up and operating various types of digitally driven manufacturing equipment, including CNC multi-axis and multi-function machines, gear cutting, gear grinding, surface grinding machines, and other integrated systems. The role requires the operation of internal, centerless, surface, external, thread, and universal grinders for development and tool work, with a focus on grinding steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads. Set-ups and work must adhere to extremely close tolerances. The individual will also advise and assist engineers in developing new processes for manufacturing various metallic and composite dynamic components, such as transmission and gearbox cases, covers, housings, and gears. All work performed will be for experimental purposes only.
