About the position

We’re looking for a Experiment Product Evangelist to join the Experiment team within Amplitude. You will be part of a passionate group of product managers, engineers and designers who are working to help modern businesses transform their products through data and experimentation. Responsibilities

  • Spend ~75% of your time with customers/prospects, providing strategic advice and insights to customers, partners and internal teams on experimentation best practices and methodologies
  • Work closely with Account Executives and Solution Engineers on customer presentations, demos, and Q&A on advanced statistical topics
  • Partner with Product and Go-to-Market to develop, refine, and articulate Amplitude's vision and product strategy for Experimentation, including translating customer needs into actionable product roadmaps
  • Stay on the leading edge of experimentation and applied statistics
  • Create compelling content, deliver educational initiatives, engage with our community, represent Amplitude at conferences and trade shows, and evangelize Amplitude's Experiment product and methodologies both internally and externally
  • Foster a culture of shared expertise, uplifting the knowledge base of those around you

Requirements

  • A masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science, mathematics or related areas with extensive research/project experience in data science, experimentation, digital product optimization, math, statistics, etc.
  • Have built and extensively used data pipelines in a variety of data warehouse environments.
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Has 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist in the past and is familiar with the Experimentation space, including hands-on experience using experimentation products and scaling experimentation programs
  • Are interested and comfortable communicating with customers as a trusted advisor
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including interest in writing blogs for Amplitude/on LinkedIn, participating in webinars, events, etc.
  • Can represent the voice of the market and share feedback and views to Product
