The Experiential Business Development Intern at Sony Pictures Entertainment will support the Location Based Entertainment team in various business and product development projects. This internship offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the entertainment industry, focusing on experiential opportunities related to film, television, music, and gaming. The role involves conducting research, creating presentations, and collaborating with creative and production teams.

  • Supporting Business and Product Development teams across multiple projects both in development and production phases
  • Performing Industry Research, Market Updates and Executive Presentations
  • Determining industry trends, identifying opportunities, and creating presentations which may include research, creative summaries, treatments, and digital presentations
  • Coordinating and attending meetings with Entertainment Creative and Production teams
  • Helping define creative products and build business cases
  • Excitement for entertainment business
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eager self-starter to do research, and learn from one another to foster collaboration
  • A self-starting attitude and willingness to try something new
  • Strong leadership and partnering skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and confidential information
  • Currently pursuing a degree in English, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze entertainment trends and contribute to the development of strategic initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to create professional presentations
  • Photoshop or graphic skills a plus
  • An understanding of or interest in location-based entertainment (theme parks, attractions, immersive experiences)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering top-notch client and guest experiences
  • Enthusiasm for the entertainment industry, with a desire to learn about the business aspects of location-based entertainment
