Aleut is searching for an enthusiastic and experienced experiential-based learning (EBL) instructor with a solid safety record who can provide experiential-based leadership instruction to USAFA permanent party members, cadets, and external Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The scope of work will include: Assisting the CCLD with Experiential-Based Learning (EBL) curriculum design. Supporting the CCLD Development Division Chief as subject matter experts (SMEs). Supporting the CCLD Director of Experiential-Based Learning with writing, researching, editing, and supporting the Ropes Course educational plans and curriculum. Meeting with mission element (ME) representatives and observing ME practices to identify opportunities to use Ropes Course experiences to support the mission. Objectives. Attending periodic CCLD staff meetings and weekly management meetings. Providing weekly and monthly project status information for the CCLD Director of Experiential-Based Learning via email, PowerPoint, and in person. Assisting the CCLD Director of Experiential-Based Learning with pre-event practices, walkthroughs, and logistical rehearsals to ensure safe and successful Ropes Course execution. Assisting with the review and production of the Operating Instruction, the Instructor Handbook, and the review and production of the e-Lesson Plan and Assessment. Providing on-site Ropes Course assistance to include hands-on execution and advice, site scheduling, and emergency response actions. Assisted in creating the Summer EBL program curriculum and documents and scheduling and logistics planning for EBL programs.
