About The Position

North Haven Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our compassionate team. The role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, and scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency. Receptionists will also check in and check out clients, process payments, and provide emotional support to clients during times of need. The position requires comfort with various medical outcomes and the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, as well as potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience required
• Availability to work Saturdays until 12pm
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator
• Highly organized with computer skills
• Self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skillset

Responsibilities

• Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
• Greet and welcome clients and patients
• Answer questions and triage client concerns
• Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
• Check in and check out clients and process payments
• Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner
