About The Position

PriorityPet Urgent Care is excited to be welcoming the community to our brand new, state-of-the-art hospital in Affton! We will open Thursday through Tuesday, from 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, to provide accessible urgent care for pets when they need it most. Requirements

• Minimum of 2-years professional experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Compassionate, calm team player
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to properly restrain pets

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in sample collection
• Obtaining medical histories
• Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint
• Triage incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Anesthetic management
