About The Position

VCA Seaside Animal Hospital in Calabash, NC is seeking a Full Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their AAHA-accredited GP practice. This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills working with a rapidly growing team of doctors and expand your knowledge in a well-reputed veterinary hospital. The state-of-the-art facility includes digital radiology (whole body and dental), cold laser therapy, ultrasonography, and a dedicated surgical suite. Requirements

Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Surgical experience required
Prior experience in surgery, anesthesia, and nursing care is required
Ability to think analytically through patient needs and the disease process in order to deliver the highest quality care

Responsibilities

Patient assessment, and recovery
IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging
Client communications and discharge
Utilizing knowledge as a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training
