About The Position

Priority Pet Urgent Care is opening a new state-of-the-art clinic in Lexington, KY, in mid-May 2026, providing urgent care for pets 7 days a week from 12 noon to 10 PM. The company is seeking experienced and motivated vet assistants to help achieve their vision. Requirements

An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience required
Ability to properly restrain pets
Evening and weekend shift availability
Compassionate and calm team player
Ability to multi-task
Strong communication and customer service skills
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Proficient in obtaining medical histories
Proficient in processing laboratory tests and radiographs
Proficient in anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
