About The Position

At Inwood Animal Clinic, we specialize in quality veterinary care for pets of all ages. We are available to address any potential issues, so our patients will enjoy a lifetime of great health! Our goal is to deliver top-quality care for every animal that walks through our doors. We've been serving New York City since 2008. We're conveniently located on Broadway between Academy Street and 204th Street.

Requirements

• Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting for 1-2 years preferred.
• Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable working around the occasional strong odors and noises that come with caring for animals.
• Exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and some contagious conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and confidently restrain dogs (including large breeds) and cats, even the more 'spirited' ones.
• Assist in the pharmacy, including preparing medications and knowing common veterinary drugs.
• Keep the clinic organized, clean, and running smoothly.
• Arrive on time and be dependable—our patients (and team!) count on you.
• Be open to jumping in and helping with other tasks as needed.
