About The Position

The Ultrasound Technician will play a crucial role in a clinical research study at Surf Therapeutics, focusing on the use of a non-invasive ultrasound device for treating autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. This position involves performing diagnostic ultrasound scans and assisting in research interventions, with training provided for specific procedures. The role is structured around a flexible schedule, primarily Monday to Friday, with compensation based on the number of scans performed.

Requirements

• Trained Ultrasonographer with at least 3 years working in a hospital or outpatient radiology department.
• Experience performing abdominal ultrasound with a curvilinear transducer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sonography examinations of the spleen, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality images and transfer these files for later analysis.
• Aid the Principal Investigator in applying the investigational ultrasound and capturing clips during the procedure.
• Maintain accurate patient records and input data into a secure portal.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to interpret results and provide insights.
• Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during procedures to prevent infection.
• Keep all equipment in excellent condition and returned to its proper place at the end of each examination.

Benefits

• $100 per ultrasound scan performed.
• Travel time reimbursement at $20/hr, with a maximum of 1 hour each way.
