About The Position

As a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer at Jackson Hewitt, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the complexities of tax codes and processes. This position focuses on providing expert customer service and tax knowledge, ensuring clients feel supported during what can be an emotional financial event. You will be responsible for preparing accurate tax-related forms, conducting face-to-face interviews, and offering IRS audit support, all while contributing to the company's mission of serving hardworking Americans with integrity and quality.

Requirements

• 2+ seasons of previous tax experience
• Experience completing individual, trust, and/or partnership tax returns
• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• PTIN Certification

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Field Instructor, Remote Support, or Call Center certification
• Tax planning and audit support experience
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance in preparing and completing accurate tax-related forms for clients.
• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients to gather necessary information.
• Complete E-filing and provide printed copies of returns for client review and signature.
• Answer client calls and tax-related questions via the national call center.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention by offering additional products and services.
• Mentor and support teammates, providing guidance and acting as a lead when necessary.
• Collect and process clients' payments, ensuring timely deposits.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Provide IRS audit support to clients.
