About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team on a part-time and seasonal basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and excellent math skills are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

• Strong technical accounting skills with experience in public accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage or similar platforms.
• Excellent math skills for accurate calculations and data analysis.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in sales or financial sales is a plus.
• Familiarity with 10 key typing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenses.
• Utilize accounting software to ensure accurate data entry and calculations.
• Provide clients with guidance on tax-related issues, helping them understand their tax obligations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist clients with financial sales inquiries, offering solutions tailored to their needs.
• Perform 10 key typing for efficient data entry of financial information.
