Job Description: This role will be in the compliance practice you will be required to assist on large projects, so strong technical skills are vital to this role. Tax consulting includes performing tax research and working with clients on tax matters as well as planning and implementing special projects. This role is responsible for the compliance function on clients including preparation and technical review of corporate and partnership returns. As a Staff member in our Financial Services Tax practice, you will have the opportunity to: Support tax consulting and compliance services for capital markets clients, including broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity, private credit and other asset managers Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships and investment vehicles Identify and implement tax planning and tax savings strategies Collaborate and engage in large projects Manage and foster existing client tax relationships through client deliverables and a hands-on consultative approach Mentor and develop staff while promoting a highly interactive team environment Manage multiple engagements at once

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA required
  • At least 1 (one) year of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend especially from a large CPA firm required
  • Foundational understanding of partnership taxation and flow-through structures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Interest in developing expertise around financial products and investment entities
