We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join the Responsive Flight Solutions (RFS) Demos team within IGNITE, initially supporting the Lynx program. The RFS Demos team has a portfolio of on-orbit technology/mission demonstration programs. The team is structured to have an execution-focused core team (PM and SEIT functions) for each program, with support from the enterprise for supplementary skills and subject matter expertise. The RFS Demos team is responsible for the entire program life cycle, from conception through post-launch support. Lynx is an on-orbit demo program within the RFS Demos portfolio with a focus on optical applications. It is currently in architecture development phase. As a Systems Engineer on this program, you will be expected to apply your technical expertise and engineering judgment to drive decision-making, rather than simply following established processes or procedures. You will be a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance, and who can effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can take complex, high-level problems and break them down into manageable, actionable components. You will be able to lead the team in executing these plans and will be comfortable making decisions in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Your ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.
