Experienced Systems Engineer (Systems Architecture & Def)

About the position

Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Experienced Systems, Architecture & Integration Engineers to join our Direct Attack Weapons Systems Engineering team located in Saint Charles, MO. Programs include Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), Ground Launch Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), Power JDAM, Massive Ordinance Penetration (MOP), B61, and other derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
• Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
• Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
• Support, develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 5 or more years of engineering experience

Nice-to-haves

• Active DoD Security Clearance
• Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
• Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
• Experience with systems development and integration
• Experience modeling or simulating systems
• Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO)
• Experience with Model Based Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering
• Experience in design/electrical/software engineering & analysis
• Experience in Industrial Engineering or Production Engineering
• Experience leading teams, projects or tasks
