Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Support Equipment Technician located in JB Andrews, MD. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. At the sole discretion of leadership, employee must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Requirements

  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  • 5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
  • Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
  • Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
  • Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
  • Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
  • Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
  • Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
  • Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
  • Work under general supervision and with minimal direction
