About The Position

The position involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic components in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, sensors, and control modules. The technician will perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. Responsibilities include test driving vehicles, testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and maintaining high-quality standards that follow the manufacturer's warranty specifications. The technician will also communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional services needed and provide estimates of time required for additional repairs. It is essential to maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed while following safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Staying updated with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience as an ASE or Volkswagen technician
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
