The new state-of-the-art Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic, scheduled to open in 2026, will focus on treating patients suffering from brain tumors, strokes and complex spine injuries. This facility houses a 210-bed inpatient area, offering unique modular spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, all-private rooms, video monitoring technologies and specific rooms for relaxation. The G20/H22 Neurological Intensive Care Unit provides complex neurological medical and surgical services. As a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, this floor offers medical support for numerous conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, status epilepticus/seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders and spinal injuries. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. Within the Neurological Institute, you benefit from extensive hands-on experience using the latest technologies and insight from the best caregivers in the field. As you interact directly with patients, families and visitors, you also gain an opportunity to enhance their experience and show them the Cleveland Clinic difference. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
