About The Position

This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful St. Lucie River. The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home. Martin North Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides 24/7 care for critically ill patients. It has a shared governance professional practice model that allows for multidisciplinary team collaboration, working on solutions to best innovate, improve and advance their mission. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, helping enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including advanced clinical training, certifications, educational programs and more. You may also float to other Martin locations, creating another avenue through which to develop knowledge within various units. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Critical care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
