Duke Regional Hospital is the second largest of Duke Health's four hospitals and offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, women's services, and heart and vascular services. Newly hired RNs (with at least one year Nursing experience) will be eligible to receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus that will be paid out over 24 months. Relocation assistance available. The unit is also eligible for up to $25,000 student loan forgiveness from your first Nursing degree.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Labor & delivery, critical care, or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department.
• Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients guided by DUHS Professional Practice model.
• Participate in the clinical ladder program, educational activities, departmental committees, research projects or other health-related projects as assigned.
• Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
