About The Position

We’re looking for an Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician ready to take the next step into a leadership role. This position is ideal for a strong residential service tech with 2–5 years of hands-on experience who also has experience leading, mentoring, and helping build a service team. You’ll remain active in the field while playing a key role in supporting junior technicians, improving service processes, and helping grow a high-performing residential HVAC service department.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of residential HVAC service experience
• HVAC Journeyman
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Experience acting as a lead technician, mentor, or trainer
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on residential systems
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting team development

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems (gas furnaces, heat pumps, AC, boilers, mini-splits)
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups
• Clearly explain issues and solutions to homeowners in a professional, friendly manner
• Accurately complete service tickets, notes, and recommendations
• Follow safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Upsell repairs and replacements ethically and honestly when appropriate
• Lead by example with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety, and customer experience
• Mentor and support junior residential technicians; assist with onboarding and training
• Help build and refine residential service department systems, workflows, and standards
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and homeowners
• Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance to other technicians
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Represent the company professionally in customers’ homes
