About The Position

The Experienced Refuse Side Load Commercial Driver is responsible for safely operating a refuse side load truck to collect waste from assigned routes. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient completion of daily tasks, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with departmental standards. The driver must be capable of handling heavy lifting and ensuring proper waste management practices while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must have Front Load Experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License with a clean MVR record.
• Valid Medical Certificate as required by the Department of Transportation.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects weighing 75 pounds or more.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate refuse side load truck to collect waste from assigned routes.
• Make prudent and safe decisions during daily activities.
• Follow detailed and specific instructions for waste collection.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and 7 step brake tests according to DOT regulations.
• Utilize the company's standard entry system for data collection.
• Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of assigned routes and duties.
• Manually lift heavy objects and clean areas of scattered trash.
• Tag containers or sites to inform customers of issues with waste collection.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
