Powder Coating Systems is an equal opportunity employer. Powder Coating Systems, located in Tacoma, is looking for an experienced Powder Coater for our Day Shift. This shift runs Monday through Friday from 5AM to 1:30PM. It is a full-time position. Starting pay for this position is $22-25 per hour. Applicants who apply for this position must be able to show 3-5 years experience as a coater for a powder coating operation on their resume. Coaters are expected to: -Determine color for the job and find it. -Weigh out their powder before and after the job and record it. -Inspect racks that have been prepped by the floor team and give constructive feedback to fix them for coating. -Use our machines to coat parts on the racks to the proper coverage. -Move the racks into the ovens for melt/cure. -Assist the floor in prepping racks when slow. This job will require you to wear a dust mask and PPE at a minimum. It can be physical and sometimes will require dexterity to avoid touching parts that were already coated. The best coaters will not only be efficient at coating, but will be able to prevent some of the common problems while doing so.
