About The Position

Powder Coating Systems (an independently owned company working out of Tacoma, Washington) is seeking to hire an Experienced Powder Coater for our Day Shift. This shift operates Monday through Friday from 5AM to 1:30PM. This is a full-time position that starts at $21-24 an hour. We also offer Paid Time Off that starts accruing the first day of employment. We also offer six paid holidays a year as well as a Sales Based Production Bonus that accrues monthly, but is paid quarterly. All benefits go into full effect once a new employee reaches their first ninety days. Powder Coaters are responsible for using our booths to apply colored powder to metal parts. The responsibilities for this position include: -Determine the job to coat from our schedule. (This is printed on an Excel spreadsheet that is printed daily to guide production.) -Determine the powder to be used. -When necessary, assist the floor in hanging and prepping the parts to be coated. -Set up the booth to coat. -Use our ERP to move the parts into the booth to be coated. -Coat the parts per standard and move the racks into the oven for melting and curing. -Clean the booth when changing colors or finishing for the day. -Other duties as instructed by the Shift Supervisor. This position requires constant standing, bending, reaching, fine motor skills, attention to detail and the ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds unassisted. It is a very physical position.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience coating in a powder coating shop.
  • The ability to lift and carry fifty pounds unassisted.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to our shop in Tacoma on a daily basis to be on time.
  • The proper documentation to prove identity and the right to work in the United States to satisfy the I-9 requirement.
  • A legal Driver's License.

  • Forklift experience.
