Verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Lead development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Work under minimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Level 3 - 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR 3+ years work-related experience with a Masters OR a PhD
  • Level 4 - 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR 7+ years work-related experience with a Masters OR 4+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
  • 3+ years of work-related experience performing structural fatigue and fracture analysis
  • Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
  • Ability to develop technical reports and present results
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platforms
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and it's requirements
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck and Lifeworks
  • Ability to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings and maintenance reports
  • Experience with Spectrum Generation
  • Experience with Full-Scale Fatigue Testing and/or other structural and material testing plans
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
