About The Position

Boston Duck Tours is hosting an on-site Open House for Experienced Mechanics (5-10+ years of experience) where you can meet the team, tour the garage, and interview with our Garage Supervisors. Requirements

Minimum of 5-year hands on experience in preventive maintenance (Heavy Vehicles Preferred)
Demonstrated ability to perform and understand basic mathematical operations.
Solid mechanical skills and the ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery.
Ability and Comfortability to work on 6ft/8ft ladders.
Valid License Required
Due to the safety sensitive nature of this position, employees must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements (including pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing)

Nice To Haves

CDL Preferred, not required. (Additional 1.50 p/hr.)
Welding knowledge, preferred, not required (Additional 1.50 p/hr.)

Responsibilities

Diagnosis, troubleshoot, and make necessary repairs. Included but not limited to diesel engines, chassis, axels, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Perform scheduled & preventative maintenance on Ducks and fleet vehicles.
Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and components correctly. Included but not limited to differentials, transfer cases, and axles.
Assist in overhauls as needed during off-season.
Assist in service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Work with Drivers on vehicle concerns and outstanding maintenance issues
