Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Logistics Representative to help support the 3rd Marine Air Wing (3rd MAW) located at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, California. The position is responsible for supply, expedition of high priority parts, cross check, part numbers and query stock systems of status of parts. You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short-notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet our customers’ unique requirements. Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer and/or management requirements. Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within a military aviation context.
  • Willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and / or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and / or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime)
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.
  • Previous experience working with Military Services
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with Maintenance and Supply personnel
  • Advise and guide Marines in the processes and concepts of supply operations and management in supply chain support
  • Utilize supply logistics automated systems (Nalcomis and RSupply) for material management and inventory control
  • Monitor inventory control reports and records for storage of parts and distribution
  • Supervise and administer the material management control for MALS-11 Deployed Support Unit (DSU) for 3rd MAW scheduled depot aircraft at five different Depot Maintenance facilities: FRCSW NAS, North Island, FRCSE NAS Jacksonville, Boeing Cecil Field, Hill Air Force Base, and L3 Communications located in Canada
  • Manage, coordinate, schedule, and reconcile with all Depot sites, Supply and Production Control of all repairable and consumable assets in support of 1A1Aprogram
  • Fill critical requirements to support 3rd MAW fleet deployment requirements through material control of spare parts, repairable parts, fleet cannibalizations and lateral supports
  • Research, identify and resolve multiple customers supply support system inventory discrepancies
  • Investigate total platform vehicle demand management, replenishment and electronic data systems
  • Monitors logistics system performance
  • Solicit customer feedback and take action to improve satisfaction with company services
  • Manages field office resources
  • Review, aggregate and approve required company reports
