About The Position

The Experienced Legal Biller is responsible for managing all aspects of the billing and collection cycle. This is a hybrid position and may be associated with any office location within the Firm's footprint. This includes preparing client invoices and overseeing the monitoring and follow up process once invoices are issued. The role works closely with the Client Services Manager, LSCs, and billing attorneys to proactively support and execute billing responsibilities. Key duties include the timely preparation and processing of accurate, high quality invoices, as well as tracking and following up on outstanding receivables. The Experienced Legal Biller will also assist with complex billing matters and related requests.

  • Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work OT when needed.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must provide minimum authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Aderant, Bill Blast, Prebill Viewer, SharePoint, and E-billing vendor sites is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all assigned billing from Prebill to submission of invoices to the client via email, USPS and/or e-billing
  • Perform client billing and monitor A/R for assigned clients in a prompt manner.
  • Utilize Prebill Viewer and Aderant Expert to edit, post and distribute invoices to clients.
  • Handles prepay (unapplied cash) or trust applications to invoices.
  • Facilitate reporting of billing statistics when requested.
  • Creating spreadsheets and setting up special billing, or any other special billing needs.
  • Handles other job-related duties as assigned by the Client Services Manager.
