About The Position

The Asia Cross-Border Advisory Group at Evercore advises corporate and private equity clients on strategic cross-border transactions with respect to Asian markets, particularly China, South Korea and India. The group operates across New York, Hong Kong and Beijing, and collaborates closely with various offices globally. The group's core sector focus includes Healthcare, Consumer, TMT and Industrials. It is also increasingly leading new strategic business and client coverage initiatives in select emerging verticals, in coordination with relevant senior bankers and industry groups. The group works with Evercore's alliance partners in South Korea and India. In addition, the group plays a leading role in the Evercore's coverage of Asian private equity clients, particularly in the Chinese market. Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Junior Associate or Analyst for its Asia Cross-Border Advisory group in New York, NY.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of Investment Banking experience.
  • Graduate of a top tier university.
  • Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting.
  • Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas.
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Chinese-Mandarin.
  • High level of commitment, work ethic and stamina.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and achievement-oriented individual.
  • Global mindset with a keen interest in working across different regions and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of assignments including acquisition advisory, capital raising, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings.
  • Conduct financial modeling.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Perform industry analysis.
  • Conduct due diligence.
  • Assist in new client development.
