Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050. Requirements

• Previous experience operating haul truck models CAT 789D and 793, or similar sized trucks.
• Ability to speak, comprehend, read and write in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Previous experience operating other types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate haul trucks (primarily CAT 789D and 793 models), water trucks, and articulated trucks.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and Capstone’s Values in Action.
• Efficiently spot and dump haul trucks.
• Follow parking procedures.
• Perform refueling procedures.
• Handle pipe and pump operations.
• Conduct basic cleaning and safe use of chemicals.
• Participate in peer operator training.
• Learn to operate Rubber-Tired Dozer, Transport Lowboy, or other non-production equipment as required.
• Actively participate in line-out and safety meetings, contributing to safety discussions and operational efficiency.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
