About The Position

Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Experienced GovCon Senior Accountant with Deltek Costpoint Experience to support the client. This will be an on-site, in-office position located in Bethesda, Maryland with one day teleworking. The Senior Accountant supports the financial integrity and compliance of the organization’s government contracting operations while assuming select Controller-level responsibilities in support of audit readiness, indirect rate management, and contract-level financial oversight. This role is responsible for day-to-day and monthly accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, job cost accounting, and month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and FAR Part 31 requirements. The Senior Accountant actively supports the development, monitoring, and analysis of indirect cost rates (fringe, overhead, and G&A), performs variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, and assists in preparing provisional billing rates, incurred cost schedules, and pricing support for cost-type, T&M, and fixed-price government contracts. In collaboration with the Controller or CFO, this position contributes to DCAA/DCMA audit preparation by maintaining documentation, supporting schedules, timekeeping and expense allowability controls, and responding to audit requests. The role interfaces regularly with contracts, HR, and program management to ensure proper labor charging, revenue recognition, and contract compliance, while also identifying financial risks, cost overruns, and opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, the Senior Accountant helps strengthen internal controls, supports accounting system administration (Deltek Costpoint), mentors junior accounting staff as needed, and provides reliable financial data and analysis to leadership—serving as a trusted advisor and a key contributor to scalable, compliant growth within the federal marketplace.
