The ideal candidate will read this entire job description and provide relevant experience in a cover letter - including their personal or professional dog experience. Standard shifts are as follows: Weekdays -- 6:45AM - 1:00 PM & 1:00PM - 7:15PM Saturday -- 7:30AM - 1:00PM & 1:00PM - 7:15PM Sunday -- 7:30AM - 11:00AM and 3:30PM - 7:15PM Requirements : Must love dogs! Previous relevant customer service experience is required! Dog Daycare and Boarding experience a plus! Professional in appearance and communication style. Out-going, friendly, patient and cooperative. Excellent listening skills. Our clients leave a member of their family with us, so it's important to be attentive to detail and understanding of customer needs. Must be reliable and on-time. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to bend and stoop to greet and leash dogs, carry dog belongings including food bags, maneuver dogs in and out of gated areas quickly and safely. Must be able to compose professional emails and messages to customers using proper spelling and grammar. Must be able to write clear handwritten instructions, including detailed feeding and medication instructions. We care for each dog's individual needs. Must be very computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office and able to learn computer applications quickly. Must be able to multi-task in busy environment, responding to phone inquiries, making reservations, greeting customers, checking dogs in and out, recommending services, etc. Proficient with printers, copiers, fax machines, other miscellaneous office materials. Front Desk Associates are trained and work in all areas of camp, including play yard monitoring and cleaning up after the dogs. All dogs are screened for aggressive behavior; however, employees must be able to withstand dogs who attempt to jump on or rough-house with humans. (We will train you on the best handling practices for our livelier campers!) The ideal candidate will have experience in a repeat-customer environment where you come to know your customer by sight and greet them (and their dog) by name when they arrive. This candidate will also have experience solving problems for customers over the phone & in person, and is able to effectively explain and sell all of the services we provide. Be prepared to have past supervisors or managers that can be called for a reference. Paid time off, free parking, bring your dog to work.
