About The Position

Haidlen Ford is seeking technicians with Ford dealership experience and training. Under new management, we have significantly increased our production and are looking for additional hardworking technicians to help us continue this growth. We are a full-service auto dealership that includes an onsite full-service collision repair shop and towing services. We have been family-owned and operated since 1955, selling new Ford vehicles and all makes of used vehicles. We offer a Monday through Friday work week and competitive wages for the right candidates. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for all customers, both external and internal.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Inform service writer or service manager of supplemental work required or delays to estimated completion time as soon as they are known.
• Aid service writer in writing up work orders, test riding, and customer interaction to guarantee satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in keeping the shop organized.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Stay current with technical qualifications by completing required training programs.
• Maintain the vehicle in a cleaner condition than when dropped off by the customer.
• Notify service writer immediately of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
• Reduce return repairs and complete them quickly and adequately if they occur.
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals and report machinery defects to the supervisor.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely and report safety issues immediately to management.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in the course of assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
