Established plumbing company serving Atlanta for 45 years searching for dependable and trustworthy Experienced Excavation/Dig Plumber with a minimum of 5 years commercial and residential service experience . Primarily needed for repair, light remodeling and drain cleaning services. We still encourage those with less experience to apply but those with more experience may be evaluated first. Basic Function: To perform all services of the trade including, but not limited to, inspecting, repairing, modifying, installing and maintaining plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drain systems. Assembling and repairing pipe systems of various shapes, sizes and pressures and cleaning blocked drains, toilets, sinks, manholes, and lift stations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in trouble shooting plumbing problems
  • Repair, service and install fixtures and lines
  • Use locating equipment and camera
  • Knowledge of sewer jetting and inspection
  • Read plumbing diagrams
  • Knowledge of lift station repairs
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety, hygiene and health standards
  • Demonstrates safety of work area

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and must pass extensive background check
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to climb and balance on equipment
  • Must be able to crawl in tight spaces and bend and stoop around equipment
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must have excellent eye sight and depth perception
  • Must be a US citizen or legal resident alien

Responsibilities

  • inspecting, repairing, modifying, installing and maintaining plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drain systems
  • Assembling and repairing pipe systems of various shapes, sizes and pressures
  • cleaning blocked drains, toilets, sinks, manholes, and lift stations
  • Identify plumbing electrical and safety problems applicable to the location and take appropriate corrective action
  • Maintenance of customer owned pipe systems and fixtures as scheduled
  • Maintain company owned equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Digging ditches
  • Mixing and pouring concrete
  • Entering confined spaces
  • Complete daily work as assigned
  • Leave work area in a neat and clean condition
  • Ensure that area is picked up at the end of each job and each day
  • Use provided tools and equipment with care
  • Request parts from the plumbing inventory or parts house as needed
  • Clean tools and equipment as required
  • Keep Field Supervisor apprised of any problems or complaints
  • Maintain safe work site
  • Remain updated on code changes as they relate to plumbing
  • Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
  • Follow written and oral instructions
  • Any other task or duty as may be occasionally assigned by management
