About The Position

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days This position will require you to analyze power projects and distill technical concepts and information into actionable conclusions and recommendations on which project stakeholders rely to develop, design, construct, operate, and finance energy projects being built in the United States and overseas prudently. You will work with multi-discipline project teams to provide a variety of services, such as the following: Advise power project developers to support new utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, thermal, and other projects; Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects independently to support financing; Model economic, technical, and market scenarios for grid operators, utilities, and research agencies; and Develop planning studies and business cases for utilities, power producers, and government agencies.

Requirements

  • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical and/or civil/structural engineering with at least 5 years of relative experience.
  • Other engineering degree may be considered
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
  • Project planning, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Decision making and judgement.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in an engineering discipline or business (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
  • Although not required, experience working on power or transmission projects will be considered.
  • Technical report writing
  • Multi-discipline teamwork (i.e. design projects, co-ops)
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Project finance or business acumen
  • Conceptual project design
  • Construction project management and/or scheduling software knowledge.
