We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify defects and malfunctions. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and filters, and repairing or replacing faulty engine components. The mechanic will also test vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Additional duties involve servicing fuel injection systems, brakes, and exhaust gas emission control systems, as well as maintaining air conditioning and heating systems in diesel engines. The role requires the ability to fabricate parts when necessary and to follow technical manuals for proper repair procedures. Keeping accurate records of repairs, estimating job costs and time, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment are also essential aspects of this position. The Diesel Mechanic will mentor junior mechanics and stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques in the industry.
