About The Position
As a Defoliation Specialist at Lumpy's Flowers, you will play a crucial role in the cultivation of cannabis plants, specifically during the immature to flowering stages prior to harvest. This position is highly hands-on and requires a self-driven individual who is motivated to contribute to the growth of the company and the quality of its products. You will be responsible for manicuring cannabis plants, which includes removing bulk leaves to ensure optimal lighting for each plant. This task is essential for the health and productivity of the plants, and it requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workplace. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will be expected to communicate effectively with the management team regarding any issues that may arise during the cultivation process. Your ability to work well within a team and to take direction will be vital to ensuring a smooth flow of operations. Each cannabis clone requires dedicated attention, and you will need to demonstrate reliability and a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. The role also demands physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for up to eight hours a day and may need to step up onto a platform ladder repeatedly. Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow precise protocols and procedures are essential. You will also need to undergo a criminal background check and meet state regulatory standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Preferred qualifications include OSHA Safety Training Certification and experience in cannabis operations, particularly with Metrc.
