About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is currently seeking an Experienced Contract Management Specialist to support the Strategic Missile and Defense Systems (SMDS): Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) portfolio in Heath, Ohio . Boeing's SMDS organization helps protect and deter attacks to our nation, warfighters, and allies worldwide. Some of the key programs within SMDS include: the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system – the land-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. Boeing completes repairs of key ICBM components at its Heath, Ohio facility where this role is based at. This position is expected to be onsite full-time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
• 3+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

• Exercise appropriate signature authority and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
• Represent the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
• Prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company
• Conduct coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
• Summarize complex contractual issues and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
• Balance priorities across multiple programs at the site and to ensure stakeholders have prompt communications as priorities evolve
• Submit offers and contractually commit the company within the extend of delegated authority
• Review Statements of Work, terms and conditions, cost estimates and the determination of profit or earnings objectives
• Support to emerging programs/campaigns and proposals
• Review and agreements with outside parties
• Perform and contractual risk assessments to balance risk and opportunities
