About The Position
CMT Technical Services, a Utah-based materials engineering company, is seeking an Experienced Lab Technician to join our West Valley City Laboratory. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the field of construction materials testing, inspection, geotechnical, and civil engineering. The role involves working with various construction materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete, to test their physical and mechanical properties. It is important to note that this is not a medical laboratory, and the focus is strictly on construction materials. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for receiving construction materials and conducting a variety of tests. These tests include assessing moisture content, performing sieve analysis, conducting Atterberg tests, Proctor tests, consolidation tests, direct shear tests, and compressive strength tests. You will be required to meticulously record data from these tests and report your findings to the laboratory manager. This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, providing a stable work environment for those committed to excellence in their field.
